Dance with Chance: Harnessing the Power of Luck ReviewThis book is a fast read and is divided into interesting chapters that demonstrate how luck plays a role in our decision making life's. Specifically in regards to health and business. It talks about the illusion of control and how we may better understand our limits and where luck begins.
It sheds light on interesting facts such as the important role of false positives on doctors exams while at the same time giving us easy to follow advice on how to protect ourselves against it and, in general, be better informed. In Business it offers concrete suggestions on how we may turn luck to our advantage.
I recommend this book, specially to those who have enjoyed recent statistically charged books such as: A random walk down Wall Street and Black Swan.
On the negative side, at times, I found it repetitive. The highly reputable authors offer plain examples, which at times are too simplified and childish. Personally, I would have preferred to have read it on a shorter format, perhaps that of a HBR Article.
