"Headhunter" Hiring Secrets: The Rules of the Hiring Game Have Changed . . . Forever ReviewFACT: The job market is a viciously competitive and is being played with new rules. It's way more aggressive than any you've seen before and it's going to stay that way!
I have been in Executive Search since 1986 and have worked all over America. The last two years I witnessed the rules of the hiring game change forever. Let me explain what I mean.
How many job seekers are out there? About 80 million! You read the surveys from Monster, ExecuNet, Manpower, etc., and every survey states that 40% to 70% of "currently employed" workers (and there are about 140 million of them), are unhappy and ready to make a change. So, when the "perfect opportunity" comes along and you respond, you aren't just competing against the 15 million unemployed...you are competing against the other millions currently employed and looking. People who also want that job! That's an aggressive marketplace.
And to top it off, I'd say 90% of the openings are never posted so you have to be aggressive going after what you want - those companies with a future - with a laser like focus, and a great story.

When companies play by different rules than the ones you're used to you...you lose.
As a "headhunter" who's completed more than 1000 assignments for ever position from entry level to CEO, I know what it takes in 2010 to get a candidate placed. Skip does too. This is not another "me too" book. It contains the relative unknown techniques we use as headhunters every day to place people, and Skip clearly tells you how to employ them for yourself.
There are many headhunters who don't want this book in the market place. They don't want you to know how to do this for yourself. I, for one, disagree - an educated consumer is the best kind because then I don't waste my time.
